Sean Long "Rocks" Fundraiser

Sean and his amazing parents, John and Jeanmarie are currently in the fight of their lives and we are hoping that our Music School family & surrounding community can come together and help in any way possible.

Sean Long is a guitarist , songwriter and a Class A Metalhead who has been a part of our "Let There Be Rock" family for years now. Sean performed in many of our shows and made friends for life through the school and the bands.

On January 10, 2023 Sean Long began experiencing headaches, double vision and strange feelings of confusion. After a few series of headaches accompanied by nausea; John and Jeanmarie urged their son to go to the doctor – but what they could not have anticipated, happened next…

On January 23rd, Sean stepped into the Paoli Hospital ER with Dad by his side to undergo an MRI to help determine the cause of these symptoms. After a few tests, John was pulled aside by a few doctors that urged him to take Sean immediately for further testing and confirmation of what they feared most – brain cancer – specifically, glioma. With this sense of urgency, specialists at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia recommended immediate surgery to remove the tumor and expressed to John, Jeanmarie and family that the best outcome would be that Sean would awaken within 24-48 hours. That however was not the case. Sean was in a coma for months. During this time, Sean had undergone additional surgeries, replacing multiple valves to help drain fluids and despite removing some of the tumor – CAT scans have shown NEW growth.

From the time that John walked Sean into the hospital on January 23rd – John has taken leave from work and has not left Sean’s side. John, Jeanmarie, and family have diligently stayed at Sean’s bedside, providing words of hope, encouragement and surrounding him with love.

If you are able to give; donations from this GoFundMe will go directly to the Long Family to offset Sean’s medical bills, travel and other associated expenses not covered by insurance, along with any rehabilitation costs associated with Sean’s long journey to recovery.

Thank you to everyone that has already donated so many amazing items for the " Let There Be Rock " / " Sean Long Rocks! "live show Oct 14th & 15th.
