Thank you all so much for your support and patience through this trying time. Groups, collaboration, and Community are a big part of our culture at Let There Be Rock School and we have missed it so much since the quarantine and will now begin phasing in a reopening plan in order to get back to business.
We will officially be back in the building beginning Monday, June 22 starting with drum lessons and select band rehearsals. Schedules will be sent out as usual stating where you are required to be. We will get another message out the following week and will begin phasing in more lessons and rehearsals. And we are looking into booking a possible outdoor show date which will be announced when finalized.
You are not required to be at the school. If you feel more comfortable continuing with your online lessons just let us know and we will make that happen!
We have put a lot of thought and time into making sure that the comfort level of the students, parents and teachers has been met and have already put plexiglass partitions in between the students and teachers and have established cleaning and safety protocols according to CDC guidelines.
Limiting exposure requires limiting contact with people who have already been infected and when it comes to a situation where we cannot be sure who may be carrying anything before symptoms onset that means we will have to take precautions. For that reason, stemming the flow of people in and out of our facility can go a long way toward keeping employees and anyone inside the building healthy.
The band rooms will also have plexiglass partitions for each student to stand behind. We are requiring all singers to have and bring their own microphones. If they do not have one we can help you find the correct and affordable mic. The lounge and lobby will remain closed for the time being and student drop offs at the time of their rehearsal along with prompt pick-ups and communicating through text or calling John will continue for now. No ‘hanging out’ or stopping in will be allowed just yet.
We have set some additional important guidelines we will need everyone to strictly adhere to them to make the transition to coming back to the school go well for everyone. If anyone has any personal concerns please contact John at (267)251-5294. Thank you, we are so looking forward to hearing music in our halls again!
